Baby K’tan was founded in 2007 by the Chesal and Wernick families – each raising a child with special needs. Both families began researching best practices for healthy infant development and were quickly introduced to the world of babywearing. Using a carrier is not only practical, but also helps promote a strong parent- child bond, along with many other developmental benefits. The families experimented with various slings, wraps and carriers and combined the best features into their own design, creating their flagship product, the Baby K’tan Baby Carrier!

The Baby K’tan team also proudly devotes a percentage of its proceeds from the sale of all Baby K’tan products to the American Heart Association and the National Down Syndrome Society.
